Looking to end pair of losing streaks

Preview: Both teams will be looking to rebound from losses on Tuesday night. The defending WNBA champion Storm (1-1) lost to Las Vegas 96-80 at home, while the Lynx (0-2) lost at New York 86-75. The Storm trailed by as many as 21 points in the first half before pulling within four at the end of the third quarter. Seattle was outscored 30-18 in the fourth quarter. The Lynx were outscored 43-30 in the second half to fall to 0-2 at the start of a season for the first time since 2007.

Players to watch: Storm F Breanna Stewart is averaging 27 points and 12 rebounds per game. The 2018 WNBA MVP scored 26 points Tuesday. G Jewell Loyd is averaging 19.5 points and 4.5 assists per game. C Ezi Magbegor, in her second WNBA season, is averaging 10.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Lynx C Sylvia Fowles had 26 points — the most she's scored since the 2018 season — and 11 rebounds on Tuesday. F Jessica Shepard had 12 points and six rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench.

Numbers: Seattle has won the past nine contests between the two teams. Seattle was 5-0 against the Lynx last season — winning both regular-season meetings before sweeping the best-of-five playoff series between the two. Minnesota's last victory over the Storm was May 29, 2019, at Target Center.

Injuries: Lynx F Natalie Achonwa (knee) is questionable and rookie G Rennia Davis (left foot) is out indefinitely.
