Mall of America's transformation -- dates and data

Since 2010, the Mall of America has been pouring more than $50 million into renovating each wing. In addition to putting down new white porcelain tile floors throughout, here's an overview of those updates:
2010: $5 million into south wing, including custom-built Swarovski crystal chandeliers
2011: $10 million into east wing, including overhauling the rotunda with a metal mesh backdrop, new jumbo screen, Bose sound system
2012: $16 million into southeast court in former Bloomingdale's space, including building an atrium
2014: $11 million renovation underway in west wing, including 450-foot-long skylight
2015: $12 million project planned to overhaul the north wing

Renovation highlights
$11 million in renovation underway in west wing:
364 pieces of 5-by-5 glass installed as part of the 450-foot-long skylight, for a total of 9,150 square feet of glass.
60,000 pounds of temporary steel erected to support a temporary work platform.
108,000 square feet of new porcelain tile being installed.
2,975 gallons of paint to be used.
More than 30 scissor lifts have been used at night.
Eight-month project is expected to be completed by October.

2013: Free People, Madewell, Moods of Norway, Silver Jeans Co., Ugg Australia, Ruum American Kid's Wear, G-Star Raw
2012: Forever 21, Henri Bendel, Athleta, ivivva athletica, Intelligent Nutrients, Dr. Martens, Sigma Beauty
2011: Michael Kors, Stuart Weitzman, AX Armani Exchange, Vera Bradley, Kiehl's, Ecco, Merrell, Naartjie Kids
2010: The Microsoft Store, Hugo Boss, Lululemon, Francesca's, Soma Intimates, Nike
