One man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday in south Minneapolis.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was found in critical condition inside a car that had crashed about 1:27 a.m. in the 2600 block of S. Cedar Avenue. He was taken to HCMC, where he died, said Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder.

"At this time, very little is known about what led up to the crash," Elder said.

The Minneapolis Police Department's Traffic Investigations Unit and the Crime Lab went to the scene to reconstruct the crash and collect evidence, he said.
