Maya Moore again wins player of the week honor
The Lynx star was named Western Conference player of the week for the fourth time this season.
Moore won the honor despite a subpar (for her) game in Sunday's loss at Washington, when she finished with just 12 points. But she had 32 and 36 points in the two preceding games, leading the Lynx to a pair of comeback victories as Minnesota linched a fifth consecutive WNBA playoff berthg.
Moore had 24 second-half points as the Lynx overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat San Antonio last Tuesday. She finished with a then-season high of 32 points.
She topped that total with 36 points in Friday's victory at Atlanta as the Lynx overcame a 16-point deficit.
Moroe ranks among the league's top 10 in scoring (second with 21.2 ppg), rebounds (eighth with 7.0 rpg), steals (fourth with 1.76 spg) and minutes (fifth with 33.3 mpg).
The Lynx play host to the Washinigton Mystics Wednesday at Target Center at 7 p.m.
Royce Lewis’ blazing start to his Twins career had him atop the ranking at the end of spring. But times have changed.
