Age: 51 (born July 9, 1964, in Boston)
As a player: Skated in the minor leagues from 1984 to '91. His best season was 63 goals and 71 assists for 134 points in 49 games for Carolina in the All-American Hockey League in 1987-88.
As a coach: Has led minor league teams in the East Coast Hockey League, the American Hockey League, the Central Hockey League and the International Hockey League. Also coached in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Kontinental Hockey League (Russia).
NHL blotter: Was an assistant for Tampa Bay (1999-01), Florida (2002-04), Los Angeles (2005-06), Chicago (2007-10) and Atlanta (2010-11). Was interim head coach for Florida in 2004 and Los Angeles in 2006.
NHL head coaching record: 39 games, 15-19-5 (10-12-5 with Panthers, 5-7 with Kings).
