Pregame buzz and a two-run lead could not be maintained as Houston shut down the Twins at Target Field.
Anthony Edwards bounced back from an injury scare in the second quarter, and his teammates — especially Rudy Gobert with 21 points and 18 rebounds — maintained the lead until he returned in the third and finished with a game-high 28 points.
The Twins had the third-lowest walk rate in the majors last year but a horrid start to 2025 with 17 issued walks in 32 innings. That trend has slowed, however.
