December 26, 2010 at 8:25PM

Cold high pressure that followed a strong midweek norther will leave Texasheralding milder, but also wetter, weather for coming days.Monday, however, dry weather will hold sway aside from spotty showers in SouthTexas. Most of the state will have partial sunshine with temperatures in the50s. Readings in the 60s will be registered in the south and far west.

Those minor showers in the south, meanwhile, will be forerunners of a widerrainy outbreak that will overspread the eastern half of the state Monday nightand Tuesday.
