An apartment fire in north Minneapolis sent one woman to the hospital early Friday evening, according to fire officials.

The woman was the sole resident of the unit hit by fire in a building in the 2100 block of 44th Avenue N., they said on Twitter. The fire was reported about 5 p.m.

No other injuries were reported.

Other residents of the building were sheltered in a bus as firefighters worked. After the fire was knocked down, those in apartments unaffected by the blaze were allowed to return to their homes.

The fire, which appears to have begun in the basement, remains under investigation, officials said.
