Minneapolis-based Air Force Reserve crew to assist in Irma recovery

A crew from the Minneapolis-based 934th Airlift Wing of the Air Force Reserve departed on Wednesday to take part in hurricane recovery efforts.

The crew was scheduled to fly its C-130 aircraft to McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey, where it was scheduled to pick up 13 security forces airmen and equipment. It was then scheduled to depart later Wednesday for Homestead Air Force Base in Florida to assist in recovery from Hurricane Irma.

The crew will provide airlift for people and supplies during its mission.
