A 19-year-old Minneapolis woman died early Thursday when the car in which she was a passenger went off the road in St. Paul.

Shaterries Monique Barlow died when the Kia hatchback went off Shepard Road just before Interstate 35E about 12:30 a.m., the State Patrol said. The driver, Reshawna Eunique Mosley, 19, of Detroit Lakes, Minn., was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Alcohol was a factor in the crash, the patrol said. Mosley was wearing a seat belt, but Barlow was not.
