Opening bell: Both teams are coming off one-sided losses Friday night. The Lynx (23-9) had their seven-game winning streak halted in a 94-76 loss at Dallas in which the Lynx struggled on both ends of the court. Chicago (11-20) has lost five in a row and nine of 12 — the Sky lost 100-81 at home to Indiana on Friday — but still clings to the eighth and final WNBA playoff spot. This is the second time the two teams have met. Down five after three quarters on June 30 in Chicago, the Lynx outscored the Sky 18-5 in the fourth to win by eight.

Watch her: Angel Reese continues to vie for WNBA Rookie of the Year honors, though it would appear Indiana’s Caitlin Clark is starting to pull away in that race. Averaging a league-best 12.9 rebounds and scoring 13.2 points, Reese has scored in double figures in 27 of 31 games, had 10 or more rebounds in 25 games and has 23 double-doubles.

Injuries: Lynx C Alanna Smith, who turned her left ankle Friday, is questionable. Chicago G Chennedy Carter (health and safety protocols) is questionable after missing the past two games.

Forecast: Don’t let the record fool you; the Sky — especially when Carter is healthy — is a physical team that leads the league in both offensive rebounds and total rebounds. The Lynx will have to bounce back from their loss in Dallas — one in which the Wings were clearly the more physical team and scored 50 points in the paint.
