With one game left in the regular season, the Wolves are 41-40 and in ninth place in the Western Conference and assured a spot in the play-in tournament, where the 7-10 seeds compete to qualify for the NBA playoffs. They can move up to eighth place with a win over the Pelicans on Sunday, and also have an outside chance of gaining the No. 7 seed. The Wolves are one game behind the seventh-place Lakers (42-39) and eighth-place Pelicans (42-39); the Wolves hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Lakers and would claim the tiebreaker over the Pelicans with a win Sunday.

If the season ended now: The Wolves would play the 10th-seeded Thunder (39-42) in the play-in tournament. The Wolves would need to win two play-in games to reach the playoffs: A home game against the Thunder, and then a road game against the loser of the No. 7 vs. No. 8 game, which would be Pelicans at Lakers. If the Wolves moved up to seventh or eighth place, they would have two chances to win game to make the playoffs.

Up next for the Wolves: vs. the Pelicans at Target Center, Sunday, 2:30 p.m. (BSN)

Sunday games that impact the Wolves' seeding: Jazz at Lakers, 2:30 p.m.
