Timberwolves-Nuggets playoff series update: We now know when first four games will start, TV information

The Timberwolves, seeded third in the NBA Western Conference, made quick work of the Phoenix Suns in their NBA Western Conference quarterfinal series, giving them a week or so off before starting Round 2.

They will play the Denver Nuggets, the defending NBA champions and No. 2 seed in the West, after the Nuggets beat the Lakers 4-1.

Round 2 schedule

Game 1: Saturday, 6 p.m., Ball Arena, Denver (TNT)

Game 2: Monday, 9 p.m., Ball Arena, Denver (TNT)

Game 3: Friday, May 10, 8:30 p.m. at Target Center (ESPN)

Game 4: Sunday, May 12, 7 p.m. at Target Center (TNT)

If necessary

Game 5: Tuesday, May 14 at Denver

Game 6: Thursday, May 16, 7:30 p.m. at Target Center (ESPN)

Game 7: Sunday, May 19 at Denver

Broadcast

Games 1, 2 and 4 will be on TNT and Game 3 on ESPN. All games will be carried nationally and not on Bally Sports North. Radio broadcasts will be carried on KFAN 100.3-FM and there will be some Bally Sports North talent joining the call.

The Wolves and Nuggets split the season series 2-2.

What about the coach?

Wolves coach Chris Finch is having knee surgery Wednesday. Top assistant Micah Nori is likely to run the bench, although the team is still hoping Finch can contribute in some way.
