Minnesotans in the NCAA women's basketball tournament

Minnesotans in the tournament

Arizona State: G Kiara Russell (soph., Osseo) and F Jamie Ruden (soph., Rochester John Marshall) are key contributors off the bench. Russell averages 4.8 points and 3.1 assists, and Ruden averages 8.5 points and 2.3 rebounds.

Creighton: G Sydney Lamberty (sr., Park of Cottage Grove) averages 11.9 points and team-best 5.3. assists per game as a starter. There are four other Minnesotans on the roster: Kylie Brown (sr., Simley), Temi Carda (fr., Lakeville North), Ali Greene (so., Mahtomedi) and Bailey Norby (sr., Forest Lake).

DePaul: The Blue Demons roster includes Rebekah Dahlman (sr., Braham), Minnesota's all-time leading scorer in girls' basketball with 5,060 career points, who came over as a graduate transfer from Vanderbilt. But she broke her left hand in the season opener and hasn't played since. Jolene Daninger (fr., Andover) has missed the season because of a systemic disorder.

Drake: Maddy Dean (jr., Jordan) was named Most Outstanding Player of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament. A reserve, she is Drake's third-leading scorer, averaging 10.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Maddie Monahan (fr., Glencoe-Silver Lake) is a starter for the Bulldogs. Monica Burich (so., Roseville) is sitting out after transferring from Colorado.

Green Bay: Lyndsey Robson, (so., Apple Valley, has played in 21 games, averaging 2.4 ppg.

Iowa: F Chase Coley (sr., Washburn) averages 9.0 points, 5.8 rebounds as a Hawkeyes starter.

Michigan: Samantha Trammel (jr., Eastview) saw limited minutes in 10 games off the bench.

Minnesota: Carlie Wagner (New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva), Kenisha Bell (Bloomington Kennedy), Bryanna Fernstrom (Center City).

Nebraska: Janay Morton (sr., Osseo), a transfer from Eastern Michigan, has played in 23 games.

Northern Colorado: Abby Kain (so., Simley) is a reserve forward.

South Dakota State: G Madison Guebert (jr., Eastview) leads the team in minutes and three-pointers and is second in scoring at 14.8 ppg. She is one of six Minnesotans on the roster, including fellow starters Alexis Alexander (sr., Champlin Park) and Ellie Thompson (sr., Chaska). The others are Lindsey Theuninck (fr., Mankato Loyola), Sydney Tracy (so., St. Michael Albertville) and Tiffaney Flaata (sr., Prior Lake), whose career is over because of injury.
