Renee Montgomery plays point guard for the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx. The Lynx drafted Montgomery out of the University of Connecticut with the fourth overall selection in the 2009 WNBA Draft.

A 2009 WNBA All-Rookie Team selection, Montgomery played in all 34 games of her first WNBA season, including nine starts, while logging 22.5 mpg. She ranked 5th among rookies in scoring (9.0 ppg), 4th in assists (2.1 apg) and 4th in steals (0.74 spg), while leading all first-year players in three-pointers made (42).
Before coming to Minnesota, Montgomery etched her place among the greatest players to ever don the Lady Huskie uniform. Her senior year, Montgomery won the Honda Award, given to the nations best female basketball player, en route to leading Connecticut to a perfect, 39-0 season and National Championship. Over Montgomery's 4-year career, she led Connecticut to a 138-11 record that included two trips to the NCAA Women's Final Four, four NCAA Regionals, four Big East regular season titles and three Big East Tournament crowns.
She registered 147 career starts, 139 of which were consecutive, the most by any player in UConn program history and the most nationally. Montgomery left Connecticut as the only player in program history to rank in the top-10 in points (1,977), assists (626), steals (266) and three-pointers (251). She finished her four-year career at Connecticut third all-time in assists (626), fourth all-time in three-pointers made (251) and sixth on the all-time scoring list (1,977 points).
Montgomery currently resides in Vilnius, Lithuania, where she's spending her winter months playing professionally for Lithuanian Basketball Club TEO Vilnius.
