National Weather Service says tornado caused tree damage in wildlife refuge

LA CROSSE, Wis. — The National Weather Service in La Crosse confirms it was a tornado that caused damage in the Trempealeau (TREMP'-eh-loh) National Wildlife Refuge.

A survey team says a tornado with winds of 65 to 85 mph was on the ground for about four minutes late Monday afternoon and damaged some trees. No one was hurt.
