NCAA Women's Final Four picks Minneapolis as finalist to host event
Yes, another big event could be coming our way. An NCAA committee named the Twin Cities as a finalist to host in the years 2021-24.
Minneapolis and the Twin Cities were named as a finalist on Thursday to host one of the NCAA Women's Basketball Final Fours in the years 2021 through 2024. Target Center would be the venue.
Minneapolis was one of eight cities on the list, the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee announced, along with Cleveland, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Missouri, Nashville and San Antonio.
Finalist cities need to submit officials bids by April 27, and NCAA staff will visits to cities in July and August. The announcement of the host cities for those Final Fours will take place in October.
Target Center was the venue for the 1995 Women's Basketball Final Four.
