On the Grammy Awards nominations show Wednesday, Nick Jonas will debut his side project, Nick Jonas and the Administration. Then he'll hit the road next month for 14 theater shows, with a Jan. 21 concert at the State Theatre in Minneapolis. Tickets, priced at $39.50, will go on sale Dec. 11. Jonas, 17, the youngest member of the Jonas Brothers, will release his solo album on Feb. 2. It was recorded in Nashville with Minneapolis-bred producer John Fields, who helmed the last two Jonas Brothers albums. Among the touring members of the Administration are three Twin Cities musicians -- drummer Michael Bland, guitarist Sonny Thompson and keyboardist Tommy Barbarella, former members of Prince's New Power Generation -- as well as Fields on bass. The Administration is expected to play originals, covers and some Jonas Brothers material.
