July 22, 2021 at 5:10AM

OMAHA – Nick Vincent pitched St. Paul out of a jam in the eighth inning, then closed out the game in the ninth as the Saints defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers 7-6 on Wednesday night at Werner Park.

The Saints led 7-5 in the bottom of the eighth, but Omaha pulled within 7-6 on Sebastian Rivero's bases-loaded RBI single. Vincent came on and retired all three batters he faced, then pitched a scoreless ninth that included retiring top prospects Bobby Witt Jr. and Nick Pratto.

Jose Miranda and Keon Broxton homered in the seventh for the Saints.
