Roads are so bad in the metro area that the Minnesota Department of Transportation is advising no travel. Roads are snow packed and slippery, and high winds are creating difficult driving conditions.

The department also closed Hwy.50 between Hwy. 52 and County Road 20 in Dakota County because the road became impassable.

MnDot will continue to to work to clear metro area freeways throughout the evening.
