The Star Tribune is putting a new twist on Vikings-Packers Week — and you're invited.
Noon today: Join our Vikings-Packers preview party at Star Tribune HQ
Friday at noon: Sportswriters from the Star Tribune, Milwaukee and Green Bay will discuss one of the NFL's best rivalries.
Sportswriters on both sides of the rivalry will be featured in the next Star Tribune Headquarters event at noon Friday, two days before the Vikings and Packers officially open U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday Night Football.
At this lunch-time event, you can hear from Star Tribune beat writer Matt Vensel, columnist Jim Souhan, and also Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Even more reason to revel in rivalry talk: the Star Tribune has tickets to give away! Enter at the event to win seats for the U.S. Bank Stadium opener on Sunday night.
You also can learn more about the Pro Football Hall of Fame Exhibit, coming to the Minnesota History Center on Sept 24 at the event.
Oh, and did we mention treats? Any good football party has treats, and there will be samples of some new stadium food from T-Rex Cookies.
Wear your purple and gold, or green and gold, and join the conversation over lunch on Friday.
Vikings-Packers event: Noon, Friday (Sept. 16).
Where: Star Tribune headquarters in the Capella Building atrium — aka #StribHQ — 650 Third Av. S., Minneapolis.
