Obama to travel to La Crosse, Wisconsin this week for economy event

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama will travel to the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse on Thursday for an event on the economy.

The event will be held at the Cartwright Student Center on the university's campus in the early afternoon.

White House officials were mum about additional details but said he was going to be delivering remarks on the economy. He is also traveling to Nashville, Tenn. on Wednesday.

According to the Associated Press, the last time Obama was in La Crosse was in 2008 before he was first elected.
