Larson, Eric J. Age 57 of Maplewood, born and raised in Willmar. Preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Donna Larson. Eric is survived by siblings, Christine (Lyle) Olson, Kathleen (Robert) Travis, Joel (Susan) Larson, Laurie Beltrand, John (Fiancé Connie Habicht) Larson; his partner James Hayne; his dog, Finnegan; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and numerous dear friends. Eric is known for being an exceptional musician, having mastered the organ, piano and guitar, as well as being a beautiful soloist and an outstanding choir director. He was also known as an outstanding gourmet cook and loved to entertain with a great sense of humor. He had a great passion for classical and church music, traveling, biking, swimming, photography and long walks with his dog Finnegan. In his early music career, Eric was a very successful salesman for Baldwin Piano and Church Organ Company where he earned many awards and trips to Europe. Eric served as the director of music, playing the organ and directing the choir at various, regional churches, most recently at Church of St. Michael in Farmington. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00AM on Thursday, April 5th at CHURCH OF ST. MICHAEL, 22120 Denmark Ave., Farmington. Visitation 4-8PM on Wednesday, April 4th at MUELLER MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 835 Johnsons Parkway, St. Paul. Visitation also 1 hour prior to Mass at church. Reception to follow Mass. Memorials preferred to Church of St. Michael church organ fund or to donor's choice.
