Carlson, Robert J. 88, passed away peacefully May 17, 2018 in Prescott, AZ. Born September 12, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN to Carlyle and Helen Carlson. A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Business Administration, he thereafter married the lovely Joann Ferguson in 1952, who sadly predeceased him on April 28, 2016. Survived by his four children; Jon Carlson (Jan), Minnetonka, MN, Jodie Briggs (Greg), Cambridge, MN, Rob Carlson (Shanna), Balsam Lake, WI and Tom Carlson, Balsam Lake, WI, along with 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Bob's career spanned decades of leadership; 35 years of service at Deere & Company leaving as Senior Vice President, President of Pratt & Whitney and United Technologies Corporation, President, Chairman and CEO of BMC, and CEO of Case Corporation. Bob also served on the Board of Directors of Deere & Company, United Technologies, BMC, Tenneco Inc, and H. B. Fuller Bob's family and friends will remember him most by his love of gatherings at his home on Balsam Lake, WI, and hunting with his sons and grandsons. A Celebration of Life for both Bob and Joann will occur this summer at Balsam Lake. Invitations will be forthcoming. Memorials to Boy Scouts of America or the Humane Society.
