John 'Jack' Galleger

Galleger, John "Jack" 50-year resident of Eden Prairie, MN, passed away on March 23, 2021. Jack was born on July 13, 1943 in Devils Lake, ND to Tom and Clara. He served 3 years in the army, and later graduated UND. Jack was married to Avis for 54 years and together, they raised 3 children, and celebrated their 7 grandchildren. Jack had a successful career at EW Blanch for 29 years. In retirement, Jack served on the board of Friends of Chimbote making several trips to Peru. He loved to golf and spent 22 years in Florida enjoying a home in Bonita Springs. Survived by his wife Avis, children Steve (Diane) Galleger, David (Laura) Galleger, Ann (Jeremiah) Mack; Grandchildren Jack, Liam, Ella and Nora; Sister Margret Harnan; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; sisters Patricia and Helen; brother Tom; and grandchildren, Amanda, David and Sydney. A private family interment will be held with celebration of Jack's life to occur sometime this summer. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Friends of Chimbote: friendsofchimbote.org
