Nelson, Gerald "Jerry" Douglas Age 86, of Minneapolis passed away peacefully at his home on July 5, 2021, surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by Sandra Christine Nelson, his wife of 54 years. Gerald is survived by his three sons, Mark (Brigid), Paul (Penny) and Eric (Sara), and his eight grandchildren: Ava, Margot, Ethan, Sophia, Amelia, Zoe, Lila and Axl. Jerry made a career at 3M where he managed a large team of supervisors and engineers. He traveled extensively throughout the world and was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins. A service will be held on Monday July 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, with a visitation preceding it at 10:00 a.m. Washburn-McReavy.com Nokomis Park Chapel 612-721-1651
