Haines, Patricia Ann (nee Luckie) passed away peacefully on May 17, 2022 following a month-long battle with pneumonia. Pat was born November 6, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was fond of her early childhood years shared with siblings and cousins in the St. Louis area. Her family moved to Minnesota in 1952, and she graduated from Bloomington High School in 1965. Pat attended her senior prom with Darrell Haines, and the two were married on September 20, 1965. Together they lived in Eagan, Minnesota for over 50 years, where they raised their two children, Kathy and Bryan. Pat liked to tell stories about working at Valley National Bank in Eagan. When she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1976, she was forced to leave that job, but she didn't let MS keep her down. She loved being involved in her children's lives and was their biggest fan. She also enjoyed volunteering with the Eagan Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary and was proud to be one of the founding families of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She cherished memories of family vacations and camping trips with Eagan Fire Department friends. It's safe to say that being Nana was Pat's favorite role, and her three grandchildren and great granddaughter brought enormous joy. Pat also enjoyed spending time at the MS Achievement Center. She will be remembered for her courageous battle with MS. She showed strength and grace, all with a feisty sense of humor. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Luckie, stepfather George Knapp, and brother, Mike Luckie. She is survived by Darrell, her loving husband of 56 years, and their two children, Kathy Haines (Carl Puline) and Bryan (Michelle) Haines, and by her grandchildren, Ashley (Nate) Berny, Sara Haines, and Sam Haines, and great granddaughter Raelynn Berny. She also is survived by siblings, John (Karen) Luckie, Bob (Pam) Luckie, Peggy (Frank) McCollom, Jim (Mary Ann) Luckie, and Gerry Luckie (Barry Jensen), sister-in-law Vicki Luckie, and many nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25 from 5pm-7pm at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 9947 Lyndale Ave So. in Bloomington Bloomington and one hour prior to Mass at church. Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Thursday, May 26 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knob Rd in Eagan. After luncheon at the church, burial will follow at 1pm at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Fairview Achievement Center Fund (makingagift.umn.edu/give/…). GILLBROTHERS.com BLOOMINGTON, MN 952-888-7771
