Hexum, Leslie "Les" Longtime Deephaven resident, died Sept. 9, 2022, at the age of 83. Les worked at the Eaton Corporation for over 30 years and then started a printing and graphic arts business in 1986. After retirement, he enjoyed the winter months in Orange Beach, Alabama, golfing and spending time with the many friends he had made through the years. He was a passionate and devoted husband, father and papa who loved his family very deeply. He always had a kind word and warm smile that would brighten your soul. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara; his sons, Jeff, Matt (Tammy), and Marc (Kerri); grandchildren, Tyler, Evan, Josh, Lauren, Ellie, Nathan, and Grant; his sisters, Linda Vangelof (Nick), Joan Luhmann (Marty); brothers, John (Sue), Jim (Marilyn), and Steve Schoolmeesters; brother-in-law, Dave Brooks (Jill); and many dear nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Marian Hexum; his daughter, Stacy Lundberg; sister, Beverly Schauss; and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Beverly Hexum. A celebration of life will be held Oct. 9 from 3-5 p.m. at Cast and Cru Old Log Theatre in Excelsior, MN. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association are suggested. The family wishes to thank the Park Nicollet Hospice team for their unparalleled assistance. Private burial at a later date.
