Klein, Christopher Joseph Age 73, of Inver Grove Heights. Passed away peacefully on October 3, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Northeast Minneapolis on December 20, 1948. Chris always insisted that his birthday was the month's major holiday. Chris was a loving husband, coolest dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend! He was smart, talented and creative; with a passion for music and sports that he unselfishly shared with others. He was known for his kindness, fierce loyalty, competitive nature, quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and a brother. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; three daughters Lisa Martinez, Tara (Bobby) Stella and Mary Klein; four grandchildren Luca, Ava, Max and Olivia; two sisters Sue (John) Coyne and Karen Klein; sister-in- law Anne Klein; special friend Marlene Miller; and his beloved animals. Chris will also be missed by a ton of nieces and nephews, his friends in the SOS community and all the friends whose lives he enriched His advice for us, "live in the present one day at a time." If you wish to contribute in his honor, please consider his three passions: Music musicares.org, Inner City Sports thielenfoundation.org or Donkeys thisoldhorse.org. There will be a Celebration of Chris's Life and music on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 1-5PM at the Hook and Ladder, 3010 Minnehaha Ave., Mpls, MN. 55406. klecatskys.com
