Anderson, Alfred Viggo, MD, DC. Known to many of his colleagues and friends as A.V. Anderson, passed away at home on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023. He was 84 years old. Al was born and raised in Albert Lea, MN and grew up on his family farm. After graduation Al attended the University of MN and Northwestern College of Chiropractic, AKA Northwestern Health Sciences University. During this time he played in his high school swing band eventually progressing to a touring band, The Highlights, traveling throughout the United States. He was asked by the Four Seasons to be their drummer, he babysat for Cher and played "Peggy Sue" for Buddy Holly the night Buddy Holly died. Ten years after graduating from chiropractic college Al decided to go to medical school graduating from UAG School of Medicine. He started his own business, Pain Assessment and Rehabilitation Center (PARC). Al married Carol (Pedersen) on November 11, 1983. They lived the majority of their lives on their hobby farm in Prior Lake, MN. They love animals and had dogs, cats, horses, and ponies. Al leaves behind his wife, Carol of 40 years (Prior Lake); their sweet dog Charlotte; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law; his niece, Lynn Krominga (Florida); nephew, Jim Krominga and his wife Eve (Phoenix); and four nieces. The family suggests memorials to Doctors Without Borders, your local food shelf or animal shelter. A celebration of life in Al's honor will be held in the spring. Neptunesociety.com 763-545-8095
