Shea, Timothy Joseph Beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on March 21, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada, following a catastrophic rock climbing accident. Born on July 6, 1959, Tim was the 11th of 12 children in a loving Irish Catholic family. Tim loved being out in nature. Hiking the Pacific Crest and Appalachian Trails were two of his many accomplishments. Tim completed many challenging US climbs and even journeyed to the base camp of Mt. Everest. He took anyone willing climbing and taught them how. During his college summers, Tim returned to VOBS as an instructor, inspiring others to discover their inner strength and develop leadership skills through challenging outdoor experiences. VOBS emphasizes building character, inspiring confidence, and fostering a sense of social responsibility through experiential learning in nature. Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Andrew Shea and Rosemary O'Brien. He is survived by his cherished son Carl O'Connell and 11 siblings: Mary, Kathy, Andy, Terry, Patty, Rosie, Susie, Annie, Brigid, Tom, and Jim.
