Rusin, James (73) passed away May 23rd, 2024 in his Anoka home surrounded by family. He battled Multiple Myeloma for over 25 years. James was born Mar 20, 1951 to Lottie & Lou Rusin. He was the 2nd of 4 children. He was married to his wife, Mary, for 45 years. James attained a BS/MD from the U of MN, and an MBA from St. Thomas University. He spent his entire career serving the community of Anoka as a family practitioner. James loved nature, especially being on the Rum River with his family. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, hunting, & camping. James enjoyed talking business & mentoring younger generations, including students at St. Thomas University. He kept busy by making toys for his kids & grandkids via wood working, knitting, & crocheting. You could spot him around town on his recumbent bike, or up & down the river on his kayak. James is survived by his wife, Mary; his son, Ethan, and wife, Erin; his daughter, Tanis; his son, Collin, wife, Shay, and their daughter, Sloane; his daughter, Maija, husband, Ben, and their daughters Sophia & Audriana; James's siblings: Lou & his wife, Ellen; Jerry & his wife, Joyce; and Lori & her husband, Allen. James is also survived by many nieces & nephews, a large extended family, & his beloved friends. A memorial service will be held Fri, June 14, 2024 at St Stephen's Church in Anoka.
