Maldonado, Efren Luis Age 49, of Blaine, MN, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2024. Preceded in death by mother-in-law, Phyllis Tohm. Survived by loving wife of over 20 years, Kim Tohm; mother, Virginia Lucio; father, Efren; sister, Marina (Christopher) Ross and their sons, Christopher Jr., and Mateo; father-in-law, Ken Tohm; brothers-in-law, Ryan (Janessa) Tohm, and Justin (Kaycie) Tohm; sister-in-law, Kari (Jesse) Schwen; nieces and nephews, Jake, Jessa, Bailey, Franklin, and Henry Tohm and Rosalind, Aliza, and Isaac Schwen; and many friends. Efren gave this life a legacy of music - with his own creations to his collaborations with artists and musicians throughout Minneapolis/St.Paul over the last 20+ years. Immersed in the music scene, he was a passionate creative and gifted keyboardist and producer who poured his ideas into creating, producing, performing, writing, and video production. Efren worked in multiple music genres, but his most recognized and beloved sound was his soulful electronics. Also known as Pye Luis for his personal music endeavors, he was currently writing and producing with Pytch Records, touring with revived band 12 Rods, and writing and performing as member of Plastik Boxes. His passion bled through others, always believing and encouraging artists to also follow their creative journeys. He has left a lasting mark in the music community, and his songs and memory will live on. Gathering 4-9PM Tuesday, June 25 at KLECATSKY & SONS WEST CHAPEL, 1051 S. Robert St. in West St. Paul.
