Moody, Roger John Age 79 of Scottsdale, AZ and Merrifield, MN, passed away June 7, 2024. Born to Edward and Frances Moody on December 21, 1944. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School, served his country in the US Navy and began a long and successful career in the auto industry. Survived by longtime companion, Leslie Scott; grandchildren, Jackson and Peter Moody; sister, Mary (Moody) Maurelli; many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Jarrett; brother, Bob; parents, Edward and Frances Moody. Roger was generous, caring, and a faithful friend to many far and wide. He was a highly successful businessman, turning what had been a failing car dealership into the phenomenally successful Friendly Chevrolet. As an avid hunter and fisherman, he believed in supporting many outdoor groups including Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever and the Silverado Pro-Am Bass Tour. He also greatly enjoyed golfing, a good game of cards, and would take anyone on in a game of cribbage. He will be dearly missed. A funeral will be held at Bloomington Lutheran Church, 9350 Portland Ave So, Bloomington, MN on Tuesday, June 25th at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior.
