House, Thomas H. age 79, of Plymouth, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024 at home. The funeral service will be at 10:30am on Monday, June 17 at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave S. Minneapolis, with visitation at 9:30am. Interment, with military honors, will follow the service at Lakewood Cemetery. Thomas H. House was born on June 23, 1944, in Minneapolis to Thomas S. and Helen House. He graduated from Minneapolis South High School In 1961. He served in the U.S. Navy from March 1962 to June 1965 and visited all ports all over the Pacific. He married Phyllis White in Marshall, MN in June of 1968. Tom enjoyed a long career with the United Postal Service starting out loading trucks at night, becoming a route driver, and then moving into management where he held a number of key positions. He enjoyed many outdoor activities especially golf, gardening, deer hunting, fishing and driving his Corvette. He loved being on his boat on Lake Mille Lacs and sitting by the campfire making his famous smores. He was a very proud grandpa and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was the king of gadgets and always had a tool to fix any problem. Tom is survived by his wife, Phyllis and three children: Lisa Cain of Cambridge, MN, Thomas J. (Jennifer) of Maple Grove, MN, and Aimee Rick of Rogers, MN: Seven grandchildren: Megan, Dean, Anna, Justin Thomas (JT), Ashley, Zachary, Olivia and sister Susie Peterson.
