Mayer, Todd M. 51, of Dayton MN passed away unexpectedly on June 15, 2024. Todd was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Todd was born in Glencoe, MN to Jerry and Marge Mayer. Todd is the youngest of 4 children. He graduated from Glencoe High School and received a mechanical engineering degree from NDSU. He met his wife, Angie, while he initially attended Bemidji State before transferring to NDSU. They have been married for almost 25 years. He was a talented mechanical engineer and inventor, had multiple patents and was always curious about how to solve a problem. He was also very funny and always had a crazy story to share. He was the most level-headed person, always willing to work with people and keep difficult conversations calm. People loved to work with him and loved to be around him. He loved to race cars, mow the lawn, and enjoy time at the lake with his family. He'd never turn down a steak or a great glass of wine. His absolute greatest source of pride was his two daughters. They are intelligent, funny, and strong women. They also thought he was the funniest person ever and that's all he really needed. He is preceded in death by his son Jonathan, his father Jerry Mayer and his mother-in-law Joann Luukkonen. He is survived by his mother Marge Mayer, his wife Angie Mayer, his 2 daughters; Brenna Mayer and Ally Mayer, his siblings; Lisa (Gordon) Vart, Dan (Teri) Mayer, Jill (Brian) Skarsten, Father-in-law Roy Luukkonen, In-laws; JoLynn (Jeff) Davis, Matt (Jennifer) Luukkonen, his nieces and nephews; Cassidy, Mason, Aden, Georgia, Jackson, Dan, Samone, Brailee, Myracle, Evan, and Rylan.
