Kummer, Lisa L. (Turany) Age 44, of Plymouth passed away on June 16, 2024 after living with breast cancer for 2 years and 9 months. She is preceded in death by her father, David Turany. Lisa was born in Eau Claire, WI and grew up there, attending Eau Claire North HS. Upon graduation, she ventured off to the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, MN. While there, she was a devoted member of the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and made many lifelong friends. A couple of years after graduation, she met the man who was to be her husband and best friend, Ben. They married in 2005 and were lucky enough to do some traveling before settling down and starting a family. After years of trying, Lisa was overjoyed to become pregnant and give birth to their son, Leo. Leo was her everything and during their 11+ years together, she instilled into him values like empathy, caring for others, and seeing the good in all people. Lisa was celebrated and beloved by so many people in her life. Her family, her friends, and her outstanding neighbors all around us. Her church family at Valley Community Presbyterian Church, her colleagues at TCF Bank, RAZR Marketing, Wilsons Leather, and most recently and spectacularly, the team at Great Clips. They all loved Lisa because Lisa brought sincere love, care and grace to all who surrounded her. She was always there for those who needed her. Lisa loved puppies, the color purple, digital marketing, the ocean, summer heat, the CLEO girls, lasagna, and seeing those she loved being happy. She was true light in this world, shining on all those around her. She can't be replaced by one person, not as a colleague, mom, friend, neighbor, or best friend. It will take a village to find the light together to keep us all going. Survived by loving husband of 18+ years Ben Kummer; son Leo Kummer; mother Sandra Turany; stepmother Loni Meinen; brother Christopher (Danette) Turany; sister Michelle (Dale) Harris; and countless other relatives and many, many friends. Funeral service will be Wednesday 10:30 AM at Valley of Peace Lutheran Church, 4735 Bassett Creek Dr in Golden Valley. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Glen Haven Cemetery in Crystal in a private ceremony afterward. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in the form of donations to Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation at tnbcfoundation.org Washburn-McReavy.com Glen Haven Chapel 763-533-8643
