Robert M. "Bob" Frawley, age 67, of Minneapolis, passed away June 11th, 2024 while running the trails at Hyland Hills Park Reserve in Bloomington, MN.

Preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Nancy Frawley. Bob is survived by his wife, Maggie Quinlan; and children, Kayla, Charlie, and Abbey Frawley; grandson, Josiah McCoy; siblings, Steve Frawley (Vicki) and Sally (Steve) Fink; siblings-in-law, Kate Quinlan, Patrick Quinlan (Lisel), Maureen Quinlan (Jim), John Quinlan (Nancy); nieces and nephews, Jeff & Mike Frawley, Brandon & Corey Quinlan, David, Annalea & Michael Fink, Connor, Sean & Ryan Bruesewitz, Grace & Rose Quinlan, and Brendan, Charlie & Meghan Quinlan; and many cousins and friends.

Bob graduated from Edina East High School in 1974, attended St. Louis University, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

He and Maggie, married in 1981, served in the US Peace Corps in Fiji for two years. Much of his career was at (now) Pillsbury United Communities, where he was the first Brian Coyle Center Director, followed by providing consulting services to numerous non-profit organizations in Minneapolis. He devoted his life to serving under-resourced people and empowering immigrant organizations with various capacity building services. Bob mentored many emerging leaders and developed programs that continue to serve the community today.

Bob shared adventure with his family on road trips all across the country. His steady guidance and playfulness is revered by his family. He lived with passion, courage, honesty, and heart. An athlete at many sports, he discovered a love for ultra-marathon running and bridged the running community and non-profit sector, resulting in the creation of the FANS race, which provides scholarship funds for Minneapolis youth. Bob completed his 200th marathon/ultra marathon in June 2024.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 20th, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4537 3rd Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN. Mass at 11 AM, visitation one hour prior.

Memorials are preferred to Youth Programming at minneapolisparks.org, FANS Scholarship Fund at Pillsbury United Communities, or a non-profit organization of your choice.
