Borg, Daniel "Dan" Raymond age 92, of Worcester and Sterling, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024, in Worcester surrounded by his loving family, friends, and caregivers. Dan was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Marjorie (Marge) MacIntosh Borg; brother, David Borg; sister, Louise Bergmann; and parents, the Reverend Raymond E. Borg and Helen V. Borg. He is survived by his children, Martin (Donna), Elisabeth (Adam), Amy (Eric), and Christopher; grandchildren, Raymond, Joseph, Suzanna, Talia, Nicholas, and Hannah; brother, Paul Borg; sister, Miriam Teeter; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dan received his bachelor's degree Gustavus Adolphus College and Ph.D. from Yale University. He was professor of modern European history at Clark University in Worcester for 39 years. He grew up in Swedish Lutheran churches served by his parents in Walnut Grove, MN, Swea City, IA, Hudson, MN, and Seattle, WA, with many happy times spent at Lake Miltona, Parkers' Prairie, and the family log cabin in the north woods. Calling hours will be held on June 28, 5:00-7:00 pm, at Miles Funeral Home in Sterling, MA. Funeral services will be held on June 29, at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holden, MA. In lieu of flowers, please direct contributions to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holden or the Greater Worcester Land Trust.
