Pearson, Dave age 80, of Woodbury, MN passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from acute myeloid leukemia. Born on June 29, 1943 in St Paul to Donald and Hazel Pearson, he was a generous friend, especially to his family and coffee crew. After graduating from Johnson High School ('61) and attending the University of Minnesota, Dave worked as a registered land surveyor for MnDOT his entire career. He attended Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Oakdale for many years. After retiring, he continued working with several of his friends in construction related fields. Over his lifetime, he enjoyed coaching hockey, playing the hot corner in softball, watching the Twins on the radio, and supporting local eateries. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Pearson and Hazel (Cliff) Baker; his sister Diane Weitzel; and his grandson Isaac. He is survived by his brother-in-law Duane Weitzel and step brother Brad (Denise) Baker; sons David (Chris), Mark (Celeste), Craig and their mother Dorothy Nowlin; step daughters Kris, Mindy and their mother Ellen; grandchildren Doug, Bethany (Jesse) Booker, Bjorn (Katie), Graham, Lucas, and Chelsea; great-grandchildren Amara, Serena, Annaliese & Simeon Booker and Clara Pearson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 3:00 PM with Visitation one hour prior to service, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury, MN 55125.
