Johnson, Carole Cheely 74, of Bloomington, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on 6/6/24. She was born on 12/11/49 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Cathlyn Criscillis Cheely and Edgar Mahan Cheely, Sr. Carole graduated Syracuse University with a degree in journalism and wrote for magazines such as Good Housekeeping. She next obtained a Nursing degree from the University of North Carolina. She moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she worked as an RN. While working she obtained a Masters in Business Administration. She married Bruce Johnson while in Bermuda. They had a daughter Kimberly Johnson. Carole and Kimberly lived together for the last 5 years of Carole's life. They developed a wonderful life together in which they were able to support each other through a number of challenges. Carole was a loving member of the bridge community and played in many groups in person and online. Carole loved flowers. Both growing them and arranging them. She planned several pots around her apartment complex. Carole was predeceased by her parents, Cathlyn and Edgar, and her brother Edgar, Jr. Carole is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Johnson, her brother, Ray Cheely, and a number of cousins, nephews, and nieces.
