Nat, Norman Harvey "Norm" age 85, of Plymouth, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Lois, for 65 wonderful years, and a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Norm's journey from humble beginnings to becoming a successful businessman and entrepreneur is an inspiring story. He built a thriving business in the machine tool industry which remains in the family to this day. His hard work and determination allowed him to retire early, affording him the time to enjoy his many passions along with his loving wife. They especially loved traveling, cooking, dining out, and golfing. An avid golfer, Norman was a member at Golden Valley Country Club for 50+ years, and a long-time member of Royal Palm Country Club in Naples, Florida. Fishing also played a large part in his life. He taught his children and grandchildren how to fish and shared many fishing experiences with them at Lake Mille Lacs, the Gulf of Mexico, and other favorite spots. Norm's other interests include tending to his flowers at home, and socializing with friends and family. Many of his passions in life and entrepreneurial spirit were passed along to his family. His greatest pride and joy were his children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. He enjoyed celebrating their many business, academic, sporting and arts achievements. He most recently loved attending his great-grandsons' hockey games. Norman was proud of his Jewish heritage, frequently sharing a Yiddish expression at just the right time. Among his many travels, he was fortunate to visit the places his parents had lived in Poland. Norm lived life to the fullest, savoring every moment and wishing for others to experience the world as he did. He was known for his big personality and quick wit, extraordinary ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, and for wearing his emotions on his sleeve. Everyone who knew him has a 'Norman' story to tell, and his legacy will live warmly in the hearts of those who loved him. Norm is preceded in death by his parents, Aron and Nancy (Mincha) Nat. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Lois; his children, Terry (Marv), Julie, Jeff (Lisa), and David Andrew; his grandchildren, Jacob (Nicki), Emily (Sam), Michael, David, Sammy (Joshua), and Abby; and his great- grandchildren, Keagan, Ryder, Mya, and Hayden. A private memorial service and burial will be held on Monday July 1st.
