Geneva Lucille MacMillan, age 87, of Eden Prairie, MN passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024 at NC Little hospice in Edina. She was born July 10, 1936 on the McCue place on Dragoon Creek in Osage County, Kansas, a daughter of Mabel Bertha Sutter Briggs and Trueman Dalton Briggs. She was married to Harold MacMillan and later William Panton Surviving are her three adult children, Diane MacMillan and her husband Steven Rousey of Edina MN, Brett MacMillan and his wife Linda MacMillan of Portland ME and April Cloutier of Liberty ME; seven grandchildren, Jocelyn Rousey, Nathan Rousey, Marissa MacMillan, Nicholas MacMillan, Alli Winkelman, Stefan Rangel and Linnae Roglitz along with 4 greatgrandchildren Cael Fonseca, Ava Bausch, Emery Rangel and Maya Rangel. She is also survived by a brother Fred Briggs and her sisters Ruth Prall, Truema Burks and Ella Hafenstein. She was preceded in death by her brother Don Briggs and her parents. She was a 1954 graduate of Harveyville Kansas high school and a 1958 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Nursing. She was employed as an RN at the Maine Medical Center and later at VA hospitals in Topeka Kansas and Milwaukee WI before retiring in 1998. In her early years, she specialized in public education about arthritis and in use of "The Healing Touch" technique. After retirement, she moved to Eden Prairie and was active in her church as well as the League of Women Voters, Sweet Adelines singing group, quilting and her twin passions of journaling and photography. She loved the color purple, puffins, all flowers (in particular poppies) and especially adored her grandchildren. It was her wish to be cremated. Services are pending.
