Schumacher, Nancy Delores Preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Lorraine Schumacher. Survived by her daughter, Carol (aka Carrie), sister Carol (Steve) Tideman, brother Steve (Cindy) Schumacher, nephews Eric (Audrey), Ross (Elizabeth), and Jack (Haley) Schumacher, many cousins, and beloved cat Oliver. Nancy jumped head first into politics at the suggestion of a friend and after meeting Paul Wellstone. She was elected as the Sherburne County DFL chair, MN DFL Sixth Congressional Chair, and National Democratic Committee member. All the while, she worked a full-time job and raised her daughter alone in Elk River. Her daughter was her joy. Seeing her grow into an incredible woman was her greatest accomplishment, with being sober for 41 years being second. She moved to Florida in 2019 to "retire," which she did for a week. She started working at Miracle Toyota in Haines City in 2020. She leaves behind hundreds of friends and acquaintances and left an impression on everyone she met. Memorials preferred to Bok Tower Gardens.
