Mary Francis Budge

Mary Francis Gravel Budge, age 84, of Bloomington, Minneapolis, and Edina, passed away, at home, on June 27th, 2024. Preceded in death by her father Francis, mother Mary, one sister and five brothers. Mary was born in Little Falls, MN but primarily grew up in Bemidji, MN. She graduated from Bemidji High School, completed a degree in education, in three years, from Bemidji State College and earned her Master's degree in Education from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, she held an administrative degree from the College of St. Thomas. She taught in many Minnesota locations including Ely, Minneapolis, Bloomington and Edina Public Schools. She retired in 1999. Mary was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, mentor and friend. She was willing to listen and be present for any and all who needed her council or the comfort of her loving and beautiful smile. Mary often attended many artistic events including concerts, plays and operas. She enjoyed bridge, books, needlepoint and electronic games. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years Peter; her children, son David (Tami), Eagan, daughter Kirsten, CT.; granddaughter Taylor (Matt), East Grand Forks, MN; sister Sharon (Tom) NJ; sisters-in-law, Maria, NYC, Nina, ND, Eileen, WI; brothers-in-law Mike (Chris) WI, Tom (Amy), NM; as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, July 8, 11:00AM, Dawn Valley Chapel and Memorial Park, 9940 Bush Lake Road, Bloomington, MN, 55436. Visitation at 10:00AM.
