Paisley Park announces more tour dates after another temporary reprieve
Extra tour days have been added this week to appease fans coming to town for Thursday night's Xcel Center tribute concert.

After getting another, longer reprieve from the Chanhassen City Council, Paisley Park has announced five more days of tours in the coming two weeks.
Tickets to see Prince's studio complex were already available for this upcoming Friday and can also now be purchased for Thursday and Saturday as well as three days next weekend, Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 21-23.
Like before, there are two tour tour options: a $38.50, 70-minute general-admission ticket or a $100, 100-minute option. Tickets can only be bought online at OfficialPaisleyPark.com. Tour-goers will once again be shuttled in by bus from a transit center adjacent to the nearby Chanhassen Dinner Theater.
In a press release, the management for the studio-turned-museum said, "Paisley Park remains committed to giving Prince's countless fans the opportunity to visit the legendary production complex in order to honor, celebrate and remember the life, legacy and music of one of the greatest and most beloved artists of all time."
There was extra pressure to add more tours this week because many fans are coming in from across the globe to attend Thursday night's tribute to Prince at Xcel Energy Center with Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan and Christina Aguilera (but not John Mayer now).
While agreeing to give Paisley Park another special-event permit to allow for the tours, Chanhassen City Council members claimed to have been inundated with calls and emails from fans upset they had put off rezoning approval for the facility, which would allow for tours. The council now says it will revisit the rezoning process in its Oct. 24 meeting.
As we highlighted in our assessment of the Paisley Park tours last week, visitors get to see everything from Prince's studios and private office to the urn holding his ashes. Most of the fans who got in on opening (re-opening) day reacted favorably to the studio's makeover into a museum.
