Peterson not practicing, Allen returns

Winfield appears to be limited

Not that it will mean anything come Sunday, but Adrian Peterson isn't practicing today. Or at least he wasn't at the portion of practice open to the media. We'll have an update after practice ends.

Peterson has been bothered by abdominal soreness in recent weeks. He left Sunday's game because of it, but something tells me had the Vikings not led by 10 points, he would have been playing.

Peterson says the injury won't be an issue on Sunday. And by now, pretty much everyone has learned to listen to AD when he's self-assessing an injury.

Meanwhile, defensive end Jared Allen returned to practice. He missed Wednesday's practice because of an illness.

Cornerback Antoine Winfield, who suffered a broken right hand on Sunday, also appeared to be limited in practice. He'll play on Sunday.
