Photo: MOA objects to clothing sales tax

Maureen Bausch, executive V.P. for business development at the Mall of America challenged Senator Ann Rest, foreground, on her bill to impose a clothing sales tax during a meeting of the Senate tax committee. On the right is Rochelle Westlund of the Minnesota Retailers Association who also opposes the bill. Bausch said a considerable amount of the malls business comes from out of state people looking to avoid the tax.
