Gophers (15-7, 7-4 Big Ten): The Gophers have won five of their past six games and are tied for fourth place in the Big Ten with Purdue and Nebraska. … The Gophers beat Northwestern 95-92 on Jan. 20 at Williams Arena. In that game, Rachel Banham scored 32 points. … G Shayne Mullaney is averaging 12.2 points per game in Big Ten play. She has six straight games in double figures. Another reserve, Joanna Hedstrom, is averaging 14.5 points in her past two games. … Banham (24.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg) has had 20 games of 20 points or more this season.

Northwestern (14-9, 3-8): The Wildcats broke a five-game losing streak with a 69-59 victory at Illinois on Thursday. … Nia Coffey (20.0), Maggie Lyon (16.1), Christen Inman (15.1) and Ashley Deary (13.0) have scored 84.2 percent of the team's points this season. Coffey, from Hopkins High School, has scored in double figures in 37 straight games. She is the only player in the Big Ten averaging double digits in points and rebounds. … Deary leads the nation with 4.43 steals per game. She is second in the Big Ten with 6.6 assists per game.
