Despite fighting the flu for several weeks and being rushed to a hospital early Friday after his private plane made an emergency landing in Illinois, Prince is hosting a dance party Saturday night at Paisley Park in Chanhassen.
Prince hosting dance party tonight at Paisley Park
Minnesota's music icon is apparently feeling much better.
On Saturday afternoon, the Paisley Park After Dark Facebook page announced a "dance party" set for 10 p.m. tonight, with a $10 charge at the door.
A flier for the event posted online said the evening will feature "The Queen of the Turntables Pam the Funktress," but there was no word on whether there would be a live performance by The Purple One himself. In the past, Paisley Park dance parties have featured DJs and occasional live performances by Prince or others.
Two sources close to Prince told the Star Tribune that he was at home in Chanhassen Friday evening. One said he had been suffering from "bad dehydration" but that "all's good."
Prince posted the event's flier via his Twitter account, and tweeted: "2 GIVE THANX 4 THE GOOD WEATHER AND 4 ALL THE LOVE AND SUPPORT."
